Better Baby Sitters (TM) - Would your child know what to do if the child they were babysitting were choking? Would they know what to do if a stranger came to the door? Your child will learn the skills needed to be a Better Baby Sitter!!  This class includes guest speaker from the local police and fire departments.  All students will receive their own first aid kit to take home.

Kidz Home Alone -  This course is designed to guide parents and teach children about being home alone.  It is an avenue to begin discussions between parent and child regarding possible situations that may arise.  At the end of the class, students feel more confident, learn to THINK, then ACT appropriately if an unusual situation should occur while home alone.   This informative class includes guest speakers from the local Police and Fire Departments. 

Students will learn:

• The importance of having emergency phone numbers
• The reasons to call 911
• First Aid & Safety
• The Self Heimlich Maneuver
• Why it's necessary to have "house rules"
• Fire escape planning
• Severe weather planning

Enriching Friendz -   The Enriching Friendz class will help your child not only recognize, but also make informed choices regarding healthy and unhealthy friendships.  This non-threatening course incorporates role play, group dialogue and hands on activities that will provide them with the tools they need when confronted with the challenges of friendship. 

Students will learn:

• What makes someone a friend
• How to make new friends
• Random acts of kindness
• How to be a good listener
• Effective communication skills using "I" statements
• How to make friendships last

Pottery Wheel 101 (This class is currently offered in Cincinnati only) -  This class includes the introduction to the to the basic use of the pottery wheel.  This is a great opportunity for students to actually receive hands on experience!  Classes on the pottery wheel emphasize technical, personal and individual development for future abilities in the art world.  Students will complete a small pot of their own creation, glazed and fired. All supplies are furnished.
